Service History

Date: April 5, 2025
Mileage: 91,740 miles
Performed by: Stefano and Raymundo

Services Performed: Time for its first oil change and maintenance service since Raymundo purchased.

  • Changed Engine Oil and Filter
    • Used Castrol Edge 5W-20 Full Synthetic and Wix 51348XP filter
    • Took about 4 liters
  • Inspected tires – OK
    • Recently replaced and still looked new
    • Set tire pressures to 35 psi all round
  • Checked fluids
    • Engine Coolant – topped off with about 6 ounces of Peak OAT coolant for Fords (orange)
    • Brake fluid – OK
    • Washer fluid – topped off with blue 32 deg washer fluid.
  • Wipers Blades – OK
  • Exhaust – OK
  • Suspension – OK
  • Exterior Lights – OK
  • Battery – Battery date is June 2021, so coming up on 4 years. Suspect it might be getting weak and not holding a charge as it should. Could be parasitic draw from the MooveTrax, but still seems to be lower than expected voltage sooner than expected when parked for just a few days. Monitor the situation, and if worsens replace with a Walmart AGM battery.
  • Front Brakes – Down to ~3mm pad life. Due for changing. Front rotors look to be in good condition. Recommend new Ford OEM or Brembo pads but with existing rotors.

Recommendations:

  • Order and replace front brake pads in the next 1K miles. If no record of Brake Fluid flush in the last 2 years, flush the brake fluid with new Prestone DOT3 fluid at the same time. Inspect the rear drum brakes at the same time and determine remaining shoe life.
  • If Transmission fluid hasn’t been flush in recent record, consider changing the fluid and filter.
  • If there is no recent record of it, inspect and/or replace the engine air filter and cabin filter.
  • At 100K miles replace the spark plugs and flush the coolant. Inspect/repalce the serpentine belt.

In for PPI and first service

Services Performed: Initial Post Purchase inspection. Here’s what is notable in the first look PPI:

  • Rear shocks leaking – need to be replaced.
  • Dog-bone engine support needing replacement.
  • Even though it is silver, could use a full detail including:
  • Administratively would be good to scan the supplied service records from the previous owner, add to the service history here, and then review the CarFax My Garage and be sure all is recorded.
  • Suggest reviewing if there is a Firmware update to the cars Sync 3 multimedia system and see if there is a factory software upgrade
  • For Turo use, suggest:
    • For Turo or ABI insurance, look to add a supported Tracker device like Moove Trax.
    • including copies of Insurance Card and Registration in glove box, but redacted to not show addresses.
    • adding a QR code plaque inside the car to a customer SnapperRides.com landing page with various warnings, helpful tips, disclosures, video tips, contacting in emergency, reminders to use Turo app, what to do in an accident, etc.
    • Getting a Faraday pouch to store key in car (for keyless delivery if remote unlock works).
