- Rear Right – 6mm
- Topped Fluids
- Engine Coolant – OK

- Installed license plate security bolts. Ordered from Amazon.
- Had a spare emergency key cut by Bode & Bode locksmith.
- Installed a Carlin Kit Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto device purchased from Amazon. This eliminates the need for a wired connection. Mounted in the center armrest area. Works great.
- Used Chemical Guys leather cleaner and conditioner on all interior leather (seats, console, etc.).
Date: December 21, 2024
Mileage: 42,810 miles

- Removed factory warning stickers from drivers front door glass
- Removed sticker from hatch rear glass

- Spare 60 psi
- Reset TPMS calibration through the center console software interface.
- Replaced both Key Fob batteries with new Energizer CR2032 batteries.
- Installed a plethora of new engine undertray screws replacing all the missing ones lost by the DPO’s mechanics. Ordered the replacements online from HondaPartsNow.com
- Replaced the broken right front fog light with new replacement OEM Honda part ordered from HondaPartsNow.com. Came with new Halogen bulb.
- Ordered and installed a new WeatherTech.com rear cargo liner for the full sized cargo floor position. Stored the OEM Honda cargo mat (that was sized for the lower position and was a bit small that it slide around)
- Topped off the engine coolant reserve tank with about a liter of Peak Blue engine coolant that meets Honda coolant spec.
- Used 3-in-1 Lock Lube and lubricated the drivers door handle lock barrel.
- Tested the key fob emergency key using the drivers door lock (all good)
- Sucked approximately ~1.5 liters (!) of engine oil up the dipstick tube to bring the level back down to full. DPO overfilled during last oil change. Engine oil now exactly on full.
- Installed a Bouncie GPS Tracker device.
- Worked with Raymundo and Doctor David to perform a full exterior detail including:
- Exterior wash
- Clay bar with Clay-luber
- Raymundo did his magic to refurbish the RF headlight removing the bit of haze.
- Chemical Guys 34 cutting polish on an orange hex pad on the horizonal surfaces that needed more of a lift and areas under the stupid deflectors just removed.

- Alcohol wiped down all painted surfaces
- Avalon King ceramic coating on all painted and black trim
- Dressed the tires
- Photo shoot with Raymundo to get some great pic
- Tested Raymundo’s Wireless Carplay/Android Auto adapter in the USB port. Worked fine. Ordered one.
- Placed a small bit of emergency kit in the trunk spare tire wheel well. Pair of disposable shop gloves, red mechanics rag, and fresh yellow microfiber.
- Interior Detail
- Chemical Guys Leather cleaner on front and back seats and door panels
- Chemical Guys Leather conditioner on front and back seats and door panels.
- This vehicle is in FANTASTIC shape now and is ready to enjoy.
- Recommend:

- Resetting the dash and media systems to factory defaults to purge any tinkering by the DPO.
- Perhaps get a spare emergency key cut and store on vehicle in magnetic holder?

Date: December 14, 2024
Mileage: 42,334 miles
Performed by: Stefano
Services Performed: Initial Post Purchase inspection. If you see the Carfax this is really a one owner (leased then purchased) California car that lived its entire life in NorCal, and in particular Sacramento (Stefano town). Here’s what is notable in the first look PPI:
- No open safety recalls for the vehicle – checked here at Honda.
- Downloaded the official owners manual as PDF direct from Honda website here.
- Front plastic undertray missing four bolts, only held on by one remaining one and sagging noticably. Quality Honda service technicians. Recommend replacing missing bolts.
- Aluminum engine undertray missing 5 of 8 bolts!. Anything other lazy-ass Mechanics (sorry – automotive technicians) touched is where the defects seem to be. Recommend replacing missing bolts.
- Right front fog light glass broken from rock impact. Recommend replacing light assembly.
- Front passenger map light bulb intermittent bright/dim with some form of failure. Mostly works.
- Inspected Driveline
- Drive shaft u-joints a bit weepy of grease. Nothing to worry about, but there is a slight sign of grease escaping and combining with road grime.
- Rear differential front pinion seal weeping a small bit, just enough to show. Nothing to worry about.
- Engine oil looks new, but appears to be about 0.5 liters overfull. Sign of a crap final service. Recommend draining down a bit.
- Engine oil filter is a NAPA brand filter, not Honda. Last service must have been someplace cheap.
- Inspected brake fluid. Looks a little darker than ideal. Recommend a Brake Fluid Flush to know for sure.
- Engine coolant level slightly below cold minimum level. Recommend topping up with proper Honda compliant coolant (Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2). Review if due for coolant flush.
- Inspected battery. Interstate battery was placed in March 2024 – essentially new.
- Inspected Cabin Filter. OK – looked nearly new. Just shook out the tiny bit of debris and reinstalled. Check again in 10K miles.
- Inspected exterior lights. All OK except noted damage to RF fog light.
- Inspected Wiper Blades. All OK.
- Oddly found a factory replacement Honda wiper replacement blade in by the spare tire area. I suspect they had already fitted aftermarket blades and during a dealer service the tech still sold them the blade and just tossed in the trunk area.
- Inspected Exhaust. All OK.
- Found most recent SMOG test results in glove box – passed October 25, 2024.
- Car fitted with Honda accessory wheel locks. Found original wheel nuts and wheel lock key in pouch in glove box.
- Car is fitted with Honda Accessory Windows deflectors, hood deflector and sun roof deflector. Looks like a Canadian Tire special. Recommend removing these and offering for resale.
- Inspected Wheels and Tires
- Rims had no road rash – amazing.
- Tires are Michelin Defender 2 235/60 R18 that are rated for M&S according to the website.
- All tires have date codes of 2523, so June 2023.
- All tires had tread depth of 10/32″.
- The tires are essentially new.
- Small pen mark on drivers side leather seat.
- Honda accessory Cargo bay tray liner slides around a fair bit. Recommend a Weathertech liner.
- Cargo bay left side plastic side panel was missing its two push in lock down fittings. Found one loose in spare tire space and installed. Still missing one. Question is, why were they removed?
- Drivers door glass still has factory warning stickers on it. Recommend removing.
- Rear hatch glass has some sticker on left bottom. Recommend removing.
- Noticed a tiny chip in front windshield around center of window. Appears to be a left over mark from a windshield repair.
- Some water spotting noted on exterior glass, mirrors and trim. Think it was parked next to sprinklers. Recommend removal when exterior detail.
- Some hazing on left front headlight. Recommend polishing.
- Some fading on exterior black plastic. Recommend ceramic coating.
- Recommend further inspection of:
- Brakes
- Suspension
- Air Filter
- Recommend:
- Replacing both key fob batteries (CR2032)
- Reset vehicle dash settings
- Reset vehicle media system settings to clear customizations
- Reset TPMS calibration
- Fitment of a Bouncie GPS Tracker
- Fitment of Fastrak device
- Full exterior detail including claybar, polish and ceramic coating
- Full interior detail including lather all surfaces, leather cleaner, leather conditioner. Carpets look perfect, no need to shampoo.
